Mobile Response Trailer System

The Western Shelter 53-foot Mobile Response Trailer System (MRTS) can store and transport at least six immediately deployable shelters, housing 3,826 square feet of interconnected, environmentally secure, and safe workspace.

The GateKeeper Shelter kits provide an all-hazards solution and enhance your emergency preparedness infrastructure in responding to incidents of natural disaster, purposeful acts of bioterrorism, and halting the spread of communicable disease (e.g. pandemic flu).

The trailer can be converted into multi-functional command, billeting and storage.  The trailer can billet up to 24 persons utilizing the Western Shelter Bunk Bed or can convert to hospital bed containment as well.  The 6-shelter system can adequately support 50-plus beds as a field hospital.

When deployed in support of any all-hazard mission, the 8.5’ x 11.5’ Command Center is operational as soon as the on-board 100kW generator is started.

The MRTS 50-Bed Field Hospital and Trailer System rapidly deploys utilizing NDMS-DMAT type members/teams.  All shelter kits, electrical kits, water handling/hygiene support, and sanitation are pre-packaged in field-carry bags utilizing a 30-35 lb per person lift maximum: no bag exceeds140 lbs.  All case systems and equipment components are removable for optional loading or shipping from trailer system to pallet system.  Each GateKeeper 1935 shelter system, with all its components, are stored in a wheeled aluminum case which can be loaded and unloaded from the MRTS trailer via its hydraulic lift gate.

The Western Shelter GateKeeper can be deployed in a variety of environments including medical emergency response, disaster response, etc.  The shelter system offers interoperability with FEMA/NDMS/DMAT and FEMA/USAR teams throughout the country.
